Goats on the far hill

Once Charlie discovered that he could shimmy under the field gates, nibble the landscaping and play "catch me if you can" with the dogs, it was time to move the goats to a more secure pasture.  Yesterday I cleared a path for the electric net fencing using the string trimmer.  The area along the fence line was cleared of trees last year and grows up in multiflora rose and all sorts of weeds. The steep hillside has mature trees for shade and a permanent run in for rain protection.

This morning both goats were happily brousing the weeds when I brought their morning kibble. They prefer to share one bowl and in spite of Charlie's smaller size, he gets his fair share thanks to the persuasiveness of his one inch horns. Gretel is happy in the company of another goat.
